The Watchung Hills Regional High School robotics team got the chance to compete in the World Championship competition.

The "RoboWarriors" finished as one of the top 32 teams out of the 600 teams at the contest.

The team built a robot that was able to catapult a ball through a hole. The team says that although their run ended in the quarterfinals, they still felt like winners.

"You spend so much work, and it starts out as a kernel of an idea," says team member Joshua Gallic. "You build it and you work with it and you tinker with it. You run though a lot of problems with it. When it finally comes out, it's a marvel."

More than 20,000 students from around the world participated in the competition last month in St. Louis.
