People in Englewood gathered Sunday to give back in honor of the lives lost on Sept. 11.
The third annual National Day of Service and Remembrance event was held at the Center for Food Action.
Volunteers assembled thousands of packages of food for a program that provides food on the weekends for kids who receive free or reduced-price lunches at school.
The packages will go to children in eight Bergen County elementary schools.
The Center for Food Action distributes about 19,000 snack bags to kids each year.
