Jersey City police released video Thursday of the shootout that claimed the life of Detective Marc DiNardo last month.
Chief Thomas Comey says the video shows two suspects opening fire without qualms.
"We tried to open up a line of communication, and these people opened fire," says Comey.
The video was released in a rush in response to a news outlet's report suggesting the officers may have made mistakes in their response.
