Two North Carolina residents are facing several charges in connection with damaging Optimum cable lines that led to thousands losing service.

On March 24, Norwalk police responded to a report of damaged cable lines on Broad Street. Over 2,000 fiber optics lines had been cut and 16,000 customers lost service.

Following an investigation, arrest warrants were issued for Jillian Nicole Persons, 30, and Austin Keith Geddings, 26, both of Asheville, N.C.

Persons was arrested in Bridgeport on April 1 during a surveillance operation. Geddings was later found that same day and arrested in a wooded area near West Avenue in Stratford.

Person is charged with conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit larceny and interfering with a police officer and false statement

Geddings is charged conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, criminal attempt to commit larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny and interfering with a police officer.

The pair's bond was set at $200,000 and are expected to appear in court on April 11.
