Thousands of boat racing fans braved chilly conditions Sunday to see powerboats tackle the rough waters of the Atlantic Ocean off Point Pleasant Beach.
The Offshore Powerboat Grand Prix drew 40 boats in several classes.
The course spanned a four-mile loop from Martell's Tiki Bar to Bay Head.
The mayor of Point Pleasant Beach has already announced the race for 2017.
