The jury in the case against Jose Carranza in the latest Newark schoolyard shootings trial got its first look at some of the graphic autopsy photos today and heard from the forensic pathologists who performed the exams on the three murder victims.
Natasha Ariel, the lone survivor of the Newark schoolyard shootings, was back on the stand this morning for cross-examination. Other witnesses included investigators who prosecutors hope will tie Carranza to beer bottles left at the scene.
Two of Carranza's co-defendants have been convicted by other juries and another pleaded guilty. All three are serving life sentences. A sixth is still awaiting trial.
