A Flatlands woman says her mother’s apartment building has become nearly unlivable after years of unresolved issues.

Marisol Anderson says tenants at 1155 East 35th St. have been dealing with a number of problems, including trash piling up outside, ceiling leaks, no hot water since December and a rodent infestation.

Anderson says the issues began about three years ago after squatters moved into the building and it started receiving multiple violations.

"We then found out that the landlord stopped paying the bills," Anderson said on Tuesday. "He had stopped paying the property taxes. Everything. Water bill. He stopped paying the mortgage. Everything."

She says tenants have repeatedly called 311 but feel like little has been done. Anderson has since created a TikTok page that documents the conditions in hopes of getting help.

The city’s Housing Preservation and Development website shows a number of open complaints for the building.

"Every person deserves to have a safe and comfortable place to call home, and it is the property manager's responsibility to follow the City’s Housing Code by promptly addressing violations. We will continue addressing tenant complaints, conducting inspections, and issuing violations to ensure that all New Yorkers feel safe and secure in their own homes," a spokesperson for HPD wrote in a statement.
