It was a wonderful springlike afternoon across the state with afternoon highs peaking in the upper-50s and low- to mid-60s in South Jersey on Tuesday.
Mays Landing peaked at 66 this afternoon. Parts of Wharton State Forest hit 65. Newark Liberty was 57. Alas, the shore was stuck in the upper-40s, but there was some sunshine to brighten your spirits.
How long will this continue? We definitely have tomorrow and Thursday with highs in the 50s and possibly 60s. By Thursday a quick moving storm will zip through with morning showers. Clouds will cling to the region most of the day. By evening the front will start to slide offshore and that's when the winds pick up and the temps begin their tumble back to the 40s.
The weekend looks nice. Fair weather noses in from the west. Sunny skies for both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday looks milder; therefore it would be the pick of the weekend. However sunny skies and temperatures in the 30s are nice for a quick trip to go skiing, snowboarding or tubing at some local ski areas. I'm always looking at things from a glass half full perspective.
