Police in Jersey City are investigating the death of a teenage girl who fell off a cliff Tuesday.

The girl?s body was found on the railroad tracks that run parallel to Route 139. The teen?s boyfriend told police she dropped her cell phone and fell while trying to retrieve it. The Hudson County prosecutor?s office is now investigating the incident.

The name of the victim and her boyfriend have not yet been released. Meanwhile, freight service on the rail line and Route 139, which were closed temporarily, have since been reopened.
