Golf fans have something to look forward to as the 45th Ryder Cup is just a year away.
The prestigious event will be held at Bethpage Black on Long Island from Sept. 26-28, 2025. Team USA and Team Europe captains gathered in Manhattan Tuesday to share a preview of what fans can expect.
“This is a dream come true for me. I love Bethpage, I love New York,” said Keegan Bradley, the captain for Team USA.
Team Europe captain Luke Donald echoed that enthusiasm: “Great to be here in New York. It’s an amazing city with amazing energy, and to have this opportunity to captain again for Europe is really special.”
Bethpage Black, known for its challenging layout and legendary status among golfers, will host some of the best players from the U.S. and Europe.
“What makes Bethpage so special is we play public golf courses on the tour, but so often it’s thousands of dollars to play. Here at Bethpage, if you’re a local, it’s very affordable. Ask any New Yorker, and they’re proud of Bethpage,” said Bradley.
The Ryder Cup, held every two years, is known not only for its high level of golf but also for its ability to captivate fans around the world with its passionate competition.
“There’s nothing quite like watching a Ryder Cup,” Donald said. “Two good rivals going against each other with a lot of passion and a lot on the line. You’re just playing for pride, playing for country, and it brings out the best in the players.”
Bradley added a message for fans: “This is a special place for New Yorkers. Bethpage is part of our team, and I want them to be passionate, loud, excited, and also respectful to the other side.”
