A Lodi social studies teacher was indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly defrauding the state school employees' health benefits program.
According to court records, 45-year-old Jason Narachone, along with two others, schemed to defraud the state out of thousands of dollars in medically unnecessary medications.
The charges can carry a maximum penalty of 10 years and a $250,000 fine.
