(AP) - Authorities say a high school math teacher accused of sending two inappropriate photos of herself to a student through social media has surrendered her teaching license.
The surrender was part of a plea bargain that Mallory Christ reached with Middlesex County prosecutors. They in return will allow the 29-year-old South Plainfield resident to enter a pretrial intervention program for first-time offenders.
Christ was charged in June with child endangerment after school officials learned about the photos and contacted authorities.
Christ taught algebra to juniors and seniors at South Plainfield High School for two years. She also coached high school cheerleaders.
She previously worked at Sayreville War Memorial High School. She had held a teaching license in New Jersey since 2010.
