Nature, culture and history are all on display in Jersey City’s Liberty State Park.
The park is the only place in New Jersey with ferry service to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Back on shore, the two-mile Liberty Walk hugs the Hudson River shoreline where you can enjoy views of the Manhattan skyline.
"A lot of people come here just to get away from the city. You can come and walk, birdwatch, kayak. A lot of people come fishing,” says park superintendent Joshua Osowski. “Other people like to come to the Science Center and visit the Science Center. We have a full marina. We have restaurants in the park.”
Liberty State Park draws millions of visitors every year, according to officials.
