Feeling like fall for Thursday before summer temps return

HEADLINES:
The fall-like trend will continue through Thursday with temperatures being well below normal
Friday will warm back up near 80 degrees with a bit more humidity returning for the weekend.
Still staying dry this weekend with temperatures rebounding into the 80s and humidity returning.
News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Julian Seawright says the taste of autumn weather continues into Thursday. Temperatures overnight will fall to well below normal for Long Island. Typically, the normal overnight lows are in the mid-60s. However, temperatures will be in the mid- to upper 50s by Thursday morning. We will warm up gradually into the weekend. By Friday, temperatures will warm near 80 degrees, and it will be slightly more humid.
For the weekend, expect summer weather to return promoting great conditions for outdoor activities or heading to the beach. Highs will be back into the low to mid-80s and will be a bit muggy. Skies will remain mostly sunny with a few more clouds returning by Sunday.
There is a growing chance of rain for Monday and Tuesday of next week. We will continue to monitor this trend over the next few days.
FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear and very cool. Low temps will be near 60 degrees.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny for most of the day then some clouds increase in the afternoon briefly. Still very pleasant. Highs in the mid-70s. Lows near 60 degrees.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, dry and a little warmer. Highs will be near 80 degrees. Lows will be in the mid-60s.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny, seasonal and humid. Highs in the low 80s. Lows in the mid-60s.
SUNDAY: Sun and clouds, seasonal and humid. Highs in the low to mid-80s. Lows in the upper 60s.
