A Kearny man has been charged with attempted murder for a shooting incident that occurred Thursday in Hoboken, according to authorities.

Police say 18-year-old Elias Mercado fired shots during a dispute at the corner of 4th and Jackson streets.

They say he was also in possession of bullet casings, heroin and crack cocaine when officers found him.
