One day it's bitter cold, the next the temperatures are well above average. There is a transition from sunshine to rain and possibly snow. That's right, if you don't like New Jersey weather, wait a few minutes and it will change.
OK, so I paraphrased Mark Twain's version of New England weather, but you get the point. March is full of surprises.
Tonight will be the last night of frigid weather under clear skies. Tonight's lows are expected to drop into the teens and low 20s. Not as cold as this morning, but still below the average.
Tuesday is filled with sunshine. It will be on the breezier side but the afternoon highs on a southerly wind will launch into the low 50s. That is a more-than-20-degree increase from Monday afternoon.
Wednesday is stormy. The question is how stormy? The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has a marginal risk for severe storms to develop. Around, but less than, 20%. I think wind-driven squalls will be more of an issue, and, unfortunately, it happens during the evening drive home from work. Expect road conditions to be bad, so allow for extra time coming home Wednesday evening.
This storm system swings through. Quieter weather prevails for the remainder of the week. Temperatures should stay on the milder side in the upper-40s and low-50s, but then comes the weekend and cooler weather looks to prevail.
