Communities are still reeling after Thursday night’s deadly storm. Meanwhile, another round of storms is expected this week as residents continue to pick up the pieces.

Thursday’s deadly storm came in like a wrecking ball. It touched down over parts of the Garden State, and in a short amount of time, it did its worst.

Police say a 44-year-old woman from Middlesex died after a tree fell on her car. They say she had stopped to wait out the storm on Greenbrook Road.

Two more victims in Plainfield also died after a tree fell on their car.

Darnell Grant has lived on Greenbrook Road for a decade and says he has never seen devastation like that after Thursday's storm.

"It was a rough weekend; it took us a couple of days to kind of get back. PSE&G did a fantastic job... we’re still not 100%. We still have wires hanging down. We’re just hoping that it gets back to normal as soon as possible," Grant said.

According to PSE&G, over 100,000 customers were impacted, about 500 tree incidents had to be cleared off poles and wires, 150 utility poles were repaired or replaced and 80 transformers were replaced.

Power was restored to homes on Greenbrook Road on Sunday.
