OVERNIGHT: A few showers are expected overnight.
MONDAY: Areas of fog Monday morning as a warm front pushes north during the morning. Temperatures will become mild and even warm rather quickly on Monday. Breezy southerly winds and pockets of sunshine will break through some of the clouds early in the afternoon just before storms fire off Monday evening.
STORM WATCH: Rain will begin around the evening commute, but the periods of heavy rain and high winds are expected to develop around 6-9 p.m. Guidance has suggested that the track of this storm system will have pockets of heavy rain impacting most of Nassau County. 1-2" of rain is likely. Expect ponding and even isolated flooding for flood-prone areas. The North Shore, specifically in Nassau County and near Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington and other Suffolk County towns that are close to county lines are also areas of concern for possible flooding.
