Powerful thunderstorms that passed through parts of New Jersey Monday evening have mostly cleared out, bringing an end to a multi-day heat wave in the state.
Storm Watch Meteorologist Dave Curren says temperatures on Tuesday will be cooler and that the humidity will lessen.
OVERNIGHT: Storms clear out and temperatures cool. Temperatures cool into the low-70s.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and warm. The humidity lessens. Daytime high around 87 degrees, with overnight lows around 70. Humidity starts to increase by Wednesday morning.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Daytime highs warm into the upper-80s. Overnight lows cool slightly to the mid-70s.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy skies. Chance for thunderstorms to return. Daytime highs around 88 degrees. Overnight low around 74.
COMING UP: Temperatures rise back to around 90 for Friday and into the upcoming week. More chances for thunderstorms Friday and early next week.
