STORM WATCH: Drizzly today in the Hudson Valley; strong wind and storms arriving late Sunday

The entire weekend will unfortunately be gloomy with patchy fog and drizzle today through much of Sunday ahead of scattered heavier rain and thunderstorm chances Sunday night into at least early Monday morning.

The entire weekend will unfortunately be gloomy with patchy fog and drizzle today through much of Sunday ahead of scattered heavier rain and thunderstorm chances Sunday night into at least early Monday morning.
If you are planning on heading to any St. Patrick's Day events this weekend, take a rain jacket! While there will not be too much rain other than spotty drizzle today, it will be damp at times.
You will wake up tomorrow morning and notice the wind a bit stronger! That said, do not expect much rain other than more spotty drizzle and fog for most of Sunday. As a cold front approaches Sunday night, there will be an increasing chance for downpours and a few thunderstorms after 7 p.m. and through the overnight hours.
TODAY: Cloudy with times of drizzle and patchy fog. Breezy at times. Highs around 53.
TONIGHT: Cloudy with drizzle and areas of fog. Lows near 47.
SUNDAY: Cloudy and windy with spotty showers much of the day until rain becomes steadier in the evening. Wind gusts can range from around 20 to 45 mph. Rain totals around one to two inches of beneficial rain into Monday morning. Ponding of water is possible at night along with scattered outages from the wind. Highs around 64. Lows near 50.
MONDAY: Very slow improvements. There are signs the showers may hold on through at least the morning hours. Highs around 57. Lows near 36.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny with highs around 62. Lows near 43.
WEDNESDAY: Sun and clouds. Warmer. Highs around 64. Lows near 48.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with spotty rain showers. Highs around 63 degrees. Lows near 39.
FRIDAY: Sun and clouds. Windy and cooler. Highs around 54 degrees. Lows near 34.
