Stores across the state are trying to salvage what could be the worst shopping season in years through sales and special promotions.
Shoppers have been scurrying to finish holiday shopping in time and cashing in on the deals. Despite the crowds, however, experts predict the worst shopping season in decades.
The international Council of Shopping Centers expects stores to post the worst performances since 1969, when it started tracking the data.
