State PBA identifies police officer critically injured in Deptford shootout

Officer Bobby Shisler, who has four years on the job, was wounded in a Friday shooting on Doman Avenue.

The state PBA said Officer Bobby Shisler is recovering at Cooper University Hospital from injuries described as life-threatening.
Officer Shisler, who has four years on the job, was wounded in a Friday shooting on Doman Avenue.
The suspect was shot and died at the scene.
The Attorney General's office was still investigating and had not released further details on the shooting as of Saturday evening.
The state PBA posted on Twitter a "thank you" to the workers at the hospital, as well as the Good Samaritan who helped save Shisler's life along with three officers who applied a tourniquet and rushed him to Cooper.
