Classes are on hold at St. Peter's University's Englewood Cliffs campus after a fire on the grounds of a convent near the campus.
The fire Wednesday at St. Michael's Villa left 27 elderly nuns and two priests displaced.
Saint Michael's Villa is owned by the Sisters of St. Joseph's of Peace, and also has an attached infirmary where 10 of the nuns were being cared for.
The nurses and police got everyone out safely.
St. Peter's tells students it's expected that there will be no electrical power at the campus for at least three days, and it is closed until further notice.
Classes are meeting today at the discretion of instructors in other locations.
