Breweries across the world are collaborating on a beer, the proceeds of which will go toward those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Several southern New Jersey breweries have now joined in for the effort.
The breweries are all collaborating to make their own version of “All Together IPA” – choosing a New England or West Coast-style version of the beer.
“Other Half [Brewing] provides the recipe for this beer and then they leave it up to each individual brewery to brew the beer,” says Neck of the Wood Brewing owner Frank Price.
Price says that everyone is using the same ingredients, but different systems.
“So, our water profile may be a little bit different from the next brewery’s,” he says.
The breweries can then sell the beer. Proceeds go to hospitality workers put out of work because of the virus.
“We have employees that are basically just coming in even less than part-time. We’re open only four days a week for curbside pickup right now, so we’d like to help them out as much as possible,” says Price. “And then, depending upon the proceeds – or the sales I should say – will see what else we can do for the local community.”

Axe and Arrow Brewing in Glassboro is also participating in the collaboration. The owners say that their mission is to donate the proceeds to the hospitality workers in their community.
“We’re looking in the Rowan Boulevard area. That’s the area we’re located in. There’s a couple of options for folks who have been shut down and we’re currently looking at that and reaching out to individuals and finding out who’s really in need right now,” says owner Greg Fletcher.
Both breweries say that they plan to have the beer available for purchase in the next few weeks. More information about the effort can be found on the
“All Together IPA” website.
