Somerset mom and pop pharmacy to begin distributing COVID-19 vaccine Monday

Small mom and pop pharmacies throughout the Garden State, including Township Pharmacy in Somerset, are now taking part in the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, in addition to large chain pharmacies.

Small mom and pop pharmacies throughout the Garden State, including Township Pharmacy in Somerset, are now taking part in the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, in addition to large chain pharmacies.
Township Pharmacy just received a shipment of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and are ready to start distributing them to people in the community.
The small mom and pop pharmacy spent the last four months filling out paperwork, training staff and investing tens of thousands of dollars to get ready for it.

It's been in business in the community for over 50 years and just moved to a location right across the way from the old one. It has 100 doses of the vaccine to be distributed Monday.
"We've been waiting since December,” says manager Bobbie Caceres. “We are registered. We had our freezer. We got all her paperwork state required us. It was just a waiting game, doing orders, multiple orders every week, just to try to get them for our customers."
Monday will be by appointment only through its website. The pharrmacy now expects to continue getting shipments weekly.
