The Cash-strapped city of Irvington has struggled in the past with snow removal costs, but Wednesday's storm failed to make a big dent in the budget.
Irvington Business Administrator Wayne Bradley says the city used $8,000 worth of salt and spent $5,000 in overtime. He says that leaves plenty of funds in the city's $65,000 snow budget. Overall, Mother Nature seems to have cut municipalities a break this winter.
Irvington has around 65 miles of city streets that it is responsible for plowing and de-icing.
