The New York Cosmos are set to compete in USL League One in March 2026. The iconic soccer club will make historic Hinchliffe Stadium its new home.
The City of Paterson says the club will resume operations with a focus on regional development, inclusive programming and historical preservation. It will be under the leadership of new majority owner Baye Adofo-Wilson, a Paterson native and founder of North Jersey Pro Soccer.
The city added that former Italian national team star and North Jersey native Giuseppe Rossi has joined as both an investor and the club's head of soccer, bringing elite-level experience and strong local ties to the organization's leadership.
The club will launch a professional women's team in the near future.
Details about the games and players have not been released yet.
