A small plane fell from the sky Sunday and crashed into a Frankford Township backyard, narrowly missing a family.
The Lesch family was in its backyard pulling weeds when a two-seater Cessna came crashing down.
Fuel spilled out from the plane. Fearing it would explode, Tammy Lesch scooped up her son, ran into the house and called 911. She said her husband took care of the pilot and his passenger.
The pilot told Lesch?s husband his engine had died, she said.
The plane?s passenger suffered a broken finger and the pilot walked away with just a cut on his ear.
The plane took off from Caldwell. The FAA is investigating the cause of the crash.
