Relief may be on the way for a community plagued by sinkholes, some the size of SUVs.
Acting Borough Manager Kelley Rohde says that Ringwood has been working with state and local legislators on a $400,000 grant to help those that have been displaced by a growing number of sinkholes in the community. Twenty-three people still do not have a permanent place to live.
?We have to wait and see if we get the grants,? said Rohde. ?We?ll be able to proceed at that point.?
The acting borough manager also stated that the grants to fill and fix this problem might not become available until next spring.
