The Jersey Shore is getting a makeover in preparation for huge Memorial Day crowds.

Coastal communities from Cape May to Sandy Hook are preparing for what they're hoping will be a successful kickoff to the summer season. Business owners all along the shore are hoping fresh coats of paint and the likes will make a good impression on inaugural visitors, and, if all bodes well, keep them coming all season long.

"It's great," says Greig Henderson, of Rumson. "I love seeing it ? it's like the rebirth of the Shore area. It's always nice."
