School officials announced a possible threat received against
Jefferson Township High School on Friday, prompting the high school and middle school to
immediately be put into shelter-in-place.
The school district confirmed the unnamed threat on its
website Friday.
Students in the middle and high schools were safely dismissed.
Students all over the district were ordered to shelter in place as police conducted their investigation. Jefferson police were patrolling as elementary students continued their day.
Jefferson Township police were investigating the situation.
There is still no word on the nature of the threat.
