A school bus driver may have prevented a crash from being much worse with their quick thinking on Tuesday in Plainfield.
A resident who lives near the incident says the bus was struck by a driver who allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection of Randolph Road and Field Avenue.
The driver of the bus apparently maneuvered in an effort to dodge the other vehicle but was unsuccessful.
The students, who had just gotten onto the bus after dismissal, were reportedly picked up by another school bus and appeared to be uninjured.
