GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney can claim one victory over President Barack Obama before the November elections.
The contestants in today?s Cockroach Derby were not the president and his Republican challenger. Rather, it was a pair of Giant Hissing Madagascar cockroaches filling in for the candidates.
The designated ?Romney? roach broke away from the starting line swiftly while the ?Obama? roach lagged behind until halfway through the race. In the end, the ?Romney? roach proved victorious.
The Cockroach Derby is a regular event for the New Jersey Pest Management Association. The group claims the winner has gone on to win the presidential election 84 percent of the time.
In fact, it was the ?Obama? roach who won back in 2008.
