A $750 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of the man who police say slashed the tires on 75 cars and set one vehicle on fire in Manville.
It happened in two incidences in the areas of Green Street in between 10th and 13th avenues.
According to police, they first noticed the suspect on June 11 when he was caught on surveillance video slashing the tires on 40 cars and allegedly setting one on fire.
Early Thursday morning residents woke up to at least one of their tires slashed. Police say the slashing occurred sometime between midnight and 4 a.m. At least 35 cars in all.
That forced some drivers to pick up the tab on yet another set of tires, for the second time in two months.
"In the video you can see a little bit, he walked past my car, and walks back and stabbed the tires. It's like he was going to walk past it and goes, no, let me do this one now. And does both of them. As you can see it's on a tow-truck now,” says Frank Cascia, of Manville.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call police. All calls are anonymous.
