All three were shot while on the grounds of the Donnelly Homes complex in Trenton.

Neighbors say none of the victims live at the housing complex, which is operated by the Trenton Housing Authority.

Residents of the complex say they heard approximately 20 gunshots fired at 11 p.m. Monday.

At the time of the shooting, multiple residents told News 12 that there were security guards posted at the front entrance. The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office has confirmed that two of the shooting victims are in critical condition, while a third is stable.

Residents have grown frustrated with the violence they say has been brought to their front door by outsiders involved in open-air drug sales.

April Harbison says she can't understand why the Trenton Housing Authority allows outsiders to hang around the property.

"They don’t live here, but they hang out here all day long. No one comes out to say, 'You’re trespassing, you need to move.' They don’t do none of that," said Harbison.

She was crying while explaining how difficult it has been living in fear of violence.

"I was attacked, my daughter was attacked out here. Right on our porch for asking people not to sit on our porch," she said.

Trenton police and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office are now working together to find the shooter. A description has not been provided, but witnesses in the neighborhood along Southard Street say the shooter took off in an Acura with Pennsylvania license plates.

News 12 has reached out to the Trenton Housing Authority for a comment and is waiting to hear back.

The shooting victims have not been identified. No arrests have been made.
