PATH fares are set to go up tomorrow.

It will now cost $3.25 to ride. That's a 25-cent increase.

The Port Authority says the hike will help fund some upgrades.

Starting May 17, all lines will run seven days a week for the first time in nearly 25 years.

Plus, there will be more frequent service on some of those lines.

Some folks told News 12 the tradeoff may be worth it.

"Of course, that helps. I mean, I know on the weekends, the subways in the past just don't run, don't run as well. So, like obviously if it's improving that, that will be great," said Andrew, who lives in Hoboken.

The fare will increase each year by 25 cents until 2029, when it reaches four dollars.
