The city of Plainfield released a statement Friday urging residents who were displaced in Plainfield to reach out for assistance. Those who were affected can now apply for services such as security deposit assistance, help with searching for housing and more.
The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs has created a virtual application for anyone affected by the recent Cyclone Investment condemnation. Condemned buildings include: 701-711 Kensington, 715-727 Arlington and 501 West 7th St. They say tenants of 515 West 7th St. can also apply even though that building has yet to be condemned.
Affected residents can click here to find the application.
