Frustrated New Jerseyans must wait another two weeks for unemployment offices to reopen, and the date has now been moved to later this month.
A man named Ken in Toms River reached out to News 12, saying he was expecting unemployment offices to be reopened today. He now says after today’s date was originally posted on the front door for the reopening date, it will not take place until June 29.

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development put out a statement this morning, announcing it has extended the closing of its facilities to the public due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency with a new, anticipated reopening date of all One-Stop Career Centers, as well as the Labor Department headquarters in Trenton, of Monday, June 29.
Online services remain available.
Many unemployed residents have still not received their $600 federal pandemic unemployment compensation checks yet today, which they’ve been getting every Monday for weeks.
