Cooler temperatures have returned to New Jersey following days of excessive heat.
But Storm Watch Team meteorologists say that there could be another heat wave coming for the Garden State.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies with a chance of rain showers south of Interstate 195. Temperatures cool to the low-70s.
WEDNESDAY: Mix of sun and clouds. More clouds in the south and more sun in the north. Possible rain showers or storms along the Atlantic City Expressway and areas in South Jersey. Daytime highs in the upper-80s.
THURSDAY: Mix of sun and clouds. Chance for pop-up storms in the afternoon and evening. Daytime highs rise to the low-90s.
FRIDAY: Sunny skies, mixed with some clouds. Threats of a thunderstorm. Daytime highs in the upper-80s and low-90s.
WEEKEND: Mostly sunny for Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures in the upper-80s.
