(AP) - Federal regulators have agreed toextend the license of the nation's oldest nuclear power plant to2029.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission voted 3-1 to grant a newlicense to the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station in LaceyTownship, N.J.
A court ruled earlier this week that the Rockville, Md.-basedcommission did not have to consider the threat of a terroristattack on the plant.
Oyster Creek and Nine Mile Point Nuclear Generating Station nearOswego, N.Y., both went online Dec. 1, 1969. But Oyster Creek isconsidered older because its initial license was granted first.
