Regal Cinemas plans to close all of its movie theaters in the U.S., including 11 in New Jersey.
The parent company lost $1.6 billion in the first half of the year because of the pandemic shutdown.
Movie theaters were allowed to reopen at 25% capacity in New Jersey last month, but crowds have been light across the country.
Regal is the second largest theater chain in the U.S., behind AMC.
