The New York Red Bulls will have the chance on Sunday to finish off the defending Major League Soccer Cup champions.

The Red Bulls beat the Columbus Crew 1-0 on the road in their opening playoff match. Midfielder Daniel Edelman admitted that most around the league thought Columbus would win easily.

The Warren native says the goal has always been to help the team win its first MLS Cup title.

"I've been a fan of the team. I went to games as such a young kid and it's been surreal knowing I'm part of the team and I can help fight for the fans and the club organization win an MLS cup,” he says.

Edelman says his mom, dad, brother, grandma and friends will be there when the match starts Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
