Carmel High School to reopen after bomb threat shut it down
Superintendent Michael Plotkin said the threat was found in a voice memo that was discovered at the high school Tuesday morning.

District officials said Carmel High School will be open on Wednesday after it was closed out of an abundance of caution on Tuesday due to a bomb threat.
Information about the initial threat concerned student Isaiah Ogbuagu.
"I saw an email, and it said 'threat', and I was scared and confused," Ogbuagu said.
Superintendent Michael Plotkin said the threat was found in a voice memo that was discovered at the high school Tuesday morning.
Plotkin said the message mentioned that there was more than one bomb placed inside the building.
"It's crazy to me. I wonder who would do that," student Caleb Thompson said.
Plotkin said the threat wasn't credible, but forced the Putnam County Sheriff's Office to sweep the building.
Thompson's mom, Shonee, couldn't believe the events.
"Well, initially, as you can imagine, it was a bit of a shock. We're all trying to get back to school and work with the snow that we've all experienced," Shonee said.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said it is continuing the investigation.
Mahopac schools sent a letter to their learning community that said other districts have also received similar threats.
Their superintendent, Frank Miele, said their district will also continue to monitor the situation with their law enforcement partners.
