Authorities in New Jersey are looking for a New York man on charges stemming from a string of expensive wine thefts in three states.
The Somerset County prosecutor has charged 25-year-old Scott Deluca, of Wynantskill, New York, with shoplifting. The prosecutor says Deluca stole two bottles of wine valued at $1,858 from a liquor store in Bernardsville on Sept. 9.
Authorities say Deluca is wanted in a string of high-end wine thefts in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
Deluca has been seen driving a dark-colored 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has New York "Adirondack" personalized vanity license plates bearing the letters "SPA ND."
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Scott Deluca is asked to contact the Bernardsville Police Department Detective Bureau at (908) 766-0037 extension 139.
