A Morris Knolls High School teacher has been charged with sexual assault and endangering a child.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office says 35-year-old Alyssa Perry, of Rockaway Township, allegedly sexually assaulted a 17-year-old on two occasions between February and March.

Officials say that Perry is a former teacher and tutor of the victim. She is currently on suspension from her position.

Perry was charged on Friday and released on pre-trial supervision. She is not allowed to contact the victim or have any contact with students.

Her next court date is scheduled for July 14.
