A private school employee is facing criminal charges after being accused of abusing a student with disabilities last fall.

Police say it happened last November at Shrub Oak International School in Yorktown.

Oscar Vigil is charged with endangerment of an incompetent or physically disabled person.

An order of protection was issued for the student.

News 12 has reached out to the school for comment and is waiting to hear back.
