Police say a woman from Atlantic City faked her own kidnapping in order to get ransom money.

Police say a woman from Atlantic City faked her own kidnapping in order to get ransom money.
Police responded Tuesday to the Liberty Apartments in the 1500 block of Baltic Avenue.
According to police, Casandra Ogelsby, 25, sent her family and friends text messages saying she was taken and they needed to pay a ransom to have her returned.
Police later found Ogelsby leaving her apartment complex after receiving information she might still be inside there.
Ogelsby was arrested and charged with creating a false public alarm and contempt of court.
A man with Ogelsby was also arrested after he was found to have an active warrant. He was charged with contempt of court.

Both were released on a summons with a future court date.
