Police say a woman from Mays Landing has died after she was thrown from a boat and struck by its propeller.
The incident happened Sunday in Galloway Township near waterway marking area 177.
According to police, Iesha Thies, 39, was pronounced dead at AtlanticCare Medical Center.
Police say Arthur Lesbirel was driving the 18-foot Beachcraft when Thies was ejected.
Police allege Lesbirel was under the influence.
He was charged with boating under the influence, while the boat’s owner, Robert Pruchniki, faces a charge for allowing Lesbriel to operate his boat.
