Police in South Brunswick unveiled a new card that would be carried by a deaf person or displayed in their car to ease communication in certain situations.
According to police, instructions are printed on the card that police or the deaf person can point to.
"We also plan on reaching out to everyone who is on our special needs registry and lists themselves as hard of hearing and we're going to mail every one of those individuals a card so we know that those people have the cards with them,” says Police Officer Gene Rickle.
Similar cards are available in other states, and now, they're available in Middlesex County.
