Authorities say a priest was found slain in the rectory of St. Patrick's Church in Chatham Friday.
Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi says the body of Rev. Edward Hinds was "found in a condition where the nature of the wounds was consistent with a homicide."
The prosecutor would not say how the 61-year-old priest was killed, but said he was probably killed between 11 p.m. Thursday and 8:03 a.m. Friday when his body was found.
No one has been arrested.
